Free Trial
All new Tenaxis workspaces start with a 14-day free trial:
- Access to all features (same as Pro plan, functionally)
- Limited to 3 active sites at a time
- No credit card required to start the trial
- At the end of 14 days, you need to subscribe to continue
During the trial, a banner at the top of the dashboard shows:
- How many days remain
- How many of your 3 trial sites are in use
When the trial expires, you can no longer provision new sites or use governance features until you subscribe.
Understanding Plan Limits
Sites Per Day
This is the maximum number of new SharePoint sites you can provision through Tenaxis in a single calendar day. For most organizations, this limit is rarely hit.
- Starter (2/day): Fine for occasional provisioning - approving 1–2 requests per day
- Pro (15/day): Good for active organizations with regular site creation
- Enterprise (Unlimited): For large organizations or during major migrations
The limit resets at midnight UTC each day.
Admin Seats
The number of users who can have admin access to Tenaxis:
- Starter (1 seat): Only one admin. Good for small IT teams or organizations where one person manages M365 governance
- Pro (5 seats): A small team can share admin responsibilities
- Enterprise (Unlimited): Large IT departments
Note: Admin seats in Tenaxis are separate from SharePoint admin licenses. A Tenaxis admin doesn't need to be a SharePoint Administrator in M365 - they just need access to Tenaxis.
Managing Your Subscription
Go to Billing in the left sidebar (accessible to Owners only).
Viewing Your Current Plan
The Billing page shows:
- Current plan name (Trial, Starter, Pro, or Enterprise)
- Subscription status (Active, Trialing, Past Due, or Canceled)
- Next renewal date (when your subscription renews)
- Plan features at a glance
Upgrading Your Plan
To upgrade from Starter to Pro (or from Trial to any paid plan):
- Go to Billing
- Click Upgrade to Pro (or the plan you want)
- You'll be taken to a secure Stripe checkout page
- Enter your payment details (credit card or other supported methods)
- Complete the checkout
- Your plan upgrades immediately - no restart required
Upgrades are prorated - you'll only pay for the remaining days in the current billing period.
Managing Payment and Invoices
- Go to Billing
- Click Manage Billing (opens the Stripe Customer Portal)
- In the Stripe portal, you can:
- Update your credit card or payment method
- View and download past invoices
- Update billing address or tax ID
- Cancel your subscription
All billing is handled by Stripe - Tenaxis does not store your payment information.
Subscription Statuses
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Trialing | 14-day free trial is active |
| Active | Paid subscription is current and in good standing |
| Past Due | A payment failed; your subscription is still active but needs attention |
| Canceled | Subscription has been canceled; access expires at end of billing period |
If Your Payment Fails
If a payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.):
- Tenaxis emails the billing contact with details
- Stripe automatically retries the payment a few times over several days
- A Past Due banner appears at the top of the dashboard
- All features remain active during this grace period
- If payment isn't resolved, the subscription is eventually canceled
To resolve: Billing → Manage Billing → Update payment method
Enterprise Plan
The Enterprise plan is for larger organizations that need:
- Unlimited admin seats - entire IT department can be admins
- Unlimited site provisioning - no daily limit
- Dedicated support - direct access to Tenaxis support team
- Custom SLA - guaranteed uptime and response time commitments
- SAML/SSO - single sign-on integration (roadmap)
- Custom onboarding - Tenaxis team helps with setup and migration
To discuss Enterprise pricing and features, contact the Tenaxis sales team through your account.
Canceling Your Subscription
- Go to Billing → Manage Billing (opens Stripe portal)
- Click Cancel Plan
- Confirm cancellation
Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that:
- You can no longer provision new sites
- Existing site data remains visible (read-only)
- You can export your data (reports, audit log)
If you resubscribe later, all your existing data (sites, policies, templates, audit log) will be intact.
